Haven't released anything for a week but finally managed to pool come creative juices together to deliver a request wallpaper. It happens from time to time where I'll be really excited about starting a project for myself or even someone else but once I sit down and try to articulate my brainstormed ideas on screen I just go blank. It's weird and actually quite frustrating so I've gotten into the habit of keeping scrap paper and a pen/pencil on me wherever I go. Then whenever I think of anything or see anything that might look cool or interesting once translated into digital format, I'll stop whatever I'm doing and note/sketch it down for future reference. My supervisor at work sees me do this constantly but he just smiles and shakes his head because he has an idea of what I do in my spare time.

Onto other things I guess I should chat about... hmm...

For mangas, I've always taken the opportunity whenever possible to promote 2 amazing series by the same studio and must be read together, Tsubasa Chronicle and xxxHOLiC. I have long been a CLAMP fan since I watched Cardcaptors on television as well as X and Chobits from fansubs but these 2 mangas encompassing a much larger story have gradually become my favourites. Quite possibly only overshadowed by my love for One Piece. The greatest things about them is that how they make constant references to CLAMPs previous series, in the forms of quotes, objects or even people. And although the latter may not be the exact same person, it's enough to instill that nostalgic feeling and give you flashbacks of the great moments in their own respective series. The story has reached it's highest climax since it started and every chapter reveals more secrets and information about the underlying motivation behind the cryptic choices made in the previous arcs. I can't wait to read each chapter and I urge anyone who is an anime or manga fan to read them. But watch the anime at your own risk. I say this because while the link between the series in the manga ranges from direct to subtle, it is nearly non-existent in the animated version.

I was planning on going on a huge rant about Erika Umeda leaving H!P but I think I'll try to keep it to a minimum. I talk about her and not Kanna because I honestly believed she had the looks, moves and talent to become the front girl of her group but sadly it never happened. With her departure I seriously hope UFA management will open their eyes to the hidden potential of all their girls and not just the select few who are popular right now. Even a small amount of attention given here and there would be preferable to how C-ute is just an Airi/Maimi show right now (although I have nothing against Airi and Maimi, the amount of talent they have is obvious). I hope Erika makes it big pursuing her dreams and I know many will be cheering her on.
